Trump Dismisses Comey’s Explanation, Insists “Any Child Would Understand ‘8647’”

Following the deletion of an Instagram post that spelled out the numbers “8647” using seashells, he dismissed his own interpretation and stated, “He was fully aware of what those digits signified. Even a child would understand their meaning.”

As reported by ABC News, during a segment of Fox News’ “Special Report with Bret Baier” that was broadcast on Friday, Trump stated that he does not accept Comey’s account.

Director, and when you didn’t understand what that signified, it indicated an assassination. He apologized since he got struck; he’s a really despicable person,” Trump stated, according to ABC News.

Comey posted a picture of the digits “8647” formed using shells in the sand, along with the comment, “Nice shell arrangement during my stroll on the beach.”

The figure elicited worries since “86” commonly serves as jargon for discarding an item or removing someone, particularly in eateries and bars when discussing menu offerings. Meanwhile, “47” is thought to allude to Trump, positioning him as the 47th president of the United States.

Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem condemned Comey, accusing him of inciting violence against President Trump. Noem said the Department of Homeland Security and the Secret Service will take appropriate action.

Comey responded to the backlash over his post. In a statement posted on Instagram, Comey said he shared a photo of seashells arranged in numbers, assuming it was a political message, and was unaware that the numbers could be linked to violence.

“I posted earlier a picture of some shells I saw today on a beach walk, which I assumed were a political message. I didn’t realise some folks associate those numbers with violence. It never occurred to me, but I oppose violence of any kind, so I took the post down,” Comey said in a statement on Instagram, the New York Post reported.
